Ilara Donarum, OD

Portsmouth and Dover

Ilara Donarum, O. D. began her career by earning a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Science at Arcadia University, which was followed by Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She completed an elected residency in multidisciplinary care, including ocular pathology, through New England College of Optometry where she later became an associate professor until she relocated to New Hampshire.

Dr. Donarum has a long history of humanitarian service, coordinating vision outreach programs while in college, and volunteering on missions to Mexico to aid the impoverished population there. Dr. Donarum lives in Portsmouth with her family.

Alison Bisognani, Optical Manager

Dover

Alison Bisognani is the newest member of the Canterbury Vision team. She comes to us with over 30 years of experience as an Optician in N.H. working in both a large, well known optical company and in a smaller boutique setting. Her combined experience as an optician, lab manager, and store manager gives her the ideal expertise to be our optical manager, overseeing all three of our locations. She is well versed in the newest eyeglass styles and will help find the best fit for you.

Alison grew up in the Seacoast area and resides there with her family.

Cheryl Bowden, Ophthalmic Dispenser

Portsmouth

Cheryl Bowden happily joined our team in 2010 with over 23 years experience in the optical field providing a wealth of knowledge and technical skills in her position as an Ophthalmic Dispenser and Administrative Assistant in our Portsmouth location. Cheryl has over twenty years experience as a lab technician and office administrator with a well known optical company with offices throughout New England. Over the years, Cheryl became proficient in making lenses from start to finish in the lab as well as fulfilling the administrative duties of the office.

Cheryl grew up and has remained in the Seacoast area with her husband of 38 years, Steve. She has two grown sons, a daughter -in-law ans two grandsons that she enjoys spending time with. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys making porcelain dolls from scratch and dressing them in beautiful hand-made outfits that have won many awards in local fairs. Cheryl even had her "Bridal Doll" published in a well known National Doll magazine.

Joanne Bourque, Administrative Assistant/Optical Stylist

Bedford

Joanne recently joined our staff here at Med-tec Hearing Labs/Canterbury Vision Care Center and works out of our Bedford location. She brings with her over 8 years of Medical Insurance Billing experience, of which 5 of those years she worked in a Chiropractic office as a Medical Secretary. In total she has over 15 years experience in Administration, Medical and Legal fields. She is also a Notary Public. She previously attended both Hesser College and Manchester Community College.

Rose Garvin, Business Manager

Dover

Our business manager, Rose Garvin, grew up in Eliot, ME graduated from Marshwood High School, Endicott College and Southern New Hampshire University. She is a licensed CPA in the State of New Hampshire where she currently resides. She worked in public accounting until 2000 when she left to become controller for a former client until
2007. She has been the business manager for Med-Tec Hearing Labs/Canterbury
Vision Care since October 2007.

Rose works primarily out of our corporate
